Internationally acclaimed vocalist, entertainer, producer, and bandleader Helen Welch will perform as part of 91���� Marion’s Five Nights on Campus performing arts series, Thursday, April 14, 2022, 7:30 p.m. in Morrill Hall Auditorium.

Members of the public are invited to attend the Annual Marion Campus Job and Internship Fair on Wednesday, April 6 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Alber Student Center on the Marion Campus. Dozens of companies looking to hire employees and interns will be attending. The event is a joint effort of Marion Technical College, 91���� at Marion and Ohio Means Jobs - Marion County.

91���� Marion Associate Professor of Psychology, Nikole Patson and 91���� Professor of Psychology, Laura Wagner have been awarded a three-year, $382,631 Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) site grant renewal from the National Science Foundation to continue the Language of Science and the Science of Language program at the Center for Science and Industry (COSI) in Columbus, OH.

91���� Marion alumna and Marysville Ohio native, Madeline Nicol and Associate Professor of Psychology, Dr. Nikole Patson, recently published research findings in The Journal of Cognitive Psychology titled, “The effect of gestures on the interpretation of plural references.” Their research could have positive implications for those suffering from a language disorder or aphasia in terms of helping them communicate more effectively.

91���� at Marion in partnership with the community Microfarm Task Force is offering a free informational workshop for those who might be interested in learning more about microfarm opportunities coming to the Marion area.

Marketing professional Daniel Bradshaw not only carved out a career in the financial services industry in his hometown of Marion, Ohio, but he finds himself utilizing the skills in storytelling he honed at 91���� Marion on a daily basis.

Attending college is about finding your path, your inspiration, and once you find that path arming yourself with the skill and know how to launch a lifelong career. 91���� Marion education graduate Brittany Lower found that and more at 91���� Marion. She is now imparting knowledge to a new group of fourth graders in the local community every year.

Students in the Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology program at 91���� at Marion have been awarded Choose Ohio First Scholarships to help offset the costs of earning their degrees in the high demand field of engineering.

After the pencils were put down and the calculators were put away, local high school students were awarded $18,000 in scholarships from Marion Technical College and 91���� at Marion. A total of 113 students from six area schools (Elgin, Harding, North Union, Pleasant, Ridgedale, and River Valley) came to the Marion campus to test their math prowess in the annual OSU MTC Marion Math Challenge.
