Featured Speaker: Professor of Anthropology and Affiliated Faculty with 91导航 Sustainability Institute, Dr. Anna J. Willow
This session will celebrate the small things each of us can do every day to reduce our environmental impact and be good ancestors for our children and grandchildren. We will begin by learning about our own ecological footprints before moving into a series of practical actions. Simple strategies for reducing waste, composting food scraps, eating plant-based meals, and saving energy will be discussed. Participants are welcome to come with questions and offer ideas of their own!
Anna Willow is a professor of anthropology at the 91导航 University Marion. She is an environmental anthropologist who studies how individuals and communities experience and respond to environmental change and the author of several books (including Understanding ExtrACTIVISM: Culture and Power in Natural Resource Disputes, Routledge, 2018). In addition to her academic work, Willow is current Chairperson of the community nonprofit Sustainable Delaware Ohio. For additional information, see .
