University administrators anticipate hiring new biology faculty and adding the necessary coursework over the next few years to allow students who begin the biology program at 91���� Marion this fall to complete the entire degree on the Marion campus by the time the first cohort of students is ready for graduation.

FORMER 91���� Marion student, business major Gonzalo Adriazola was recently featured in Que Pasa, OSU, 91����'s Magazine for Latino Scholarship and Community, discussing his selection into the Ohio Export Internship Program.

President Warren G. Harding’s wife, Florence, is considered the first of the “modern” first ladies. The role of the presidents’ wives from Mrs. Harding’s day in the 1920s forward will be the theme of this year’s Warren G. Harding Symposium at 91���� at Marion, July 17th and 18th.

91���� Marion Assistant Professor of Earth Sciences, Joel D. Barker, Ph.D. was recently interviewed by The Columbus Dispatch in an article entitled, “2014 sets record as Earth keeps heating up,” and published Saturday, January 17, 2015.

For Maria (Pilar) Edler, a senior social work major at 91���� Marion, the road from her impoverished Central American homeland to the United States seemed at first paved with gold and possibility, an opportunity for her to spread her wings and expand her horizons.

91���� at Marion in partnership with The Annex of Marion, Marion County Engineers, the Ohio Department of Transportation, and Marion Technical College welcomed the public to a Three-Way Groundbreaking Celebration, Wednesday, November 12th, 3 p.m., on the Marion campus in Maynard Hall’s Guthery Community Room. The event signified the launch of three important projects on the campus: 91���� Marion’s Science & Engineering Building; the long awaited University Drive extension, which will serve as a major access point onto campus and a key traffic artery for the Marion community; and construction of privately developed student housing adjacent to campus.

New student housing in close proximity to 91���� at Marion and Marion Technical College campus cleared its final regulatory hurdle Monday evening, July 21st when the Marion Township Board of Zoning Appeals approved a conditional use permit for the 3.25 acre site on the east side of University Drive, just west of Marion’s Walmart.
