91µ¼º½ at Marion lecture series Buckeye Talks on Tap welcomes former 91µ¼º½ Marion Dean & Director and Associate Professor of Geography Emeritus, Dr. Greg Rose, who will present a free public lecture titled, "Settlement of the Old Northwest, 1850," Tuesday, November 18th, 5:30 p.m. at Bucci’s Italian Scratch Kitchen.

91µ¼º½ Marion proudly announced the induction of Dave Gorenflo into its 2025 Alumni Hall of Fame. Gorenflo will be inducted along with Ted & Marlene Temple, during a formal ceremony on campus, Monday, November 17, 2025, in Maynard Hall’s Guthery Community Room.

The Temple’s will be inducted alongside Dave Gorenflo as 2025 inductees. 

Harding High School senior Reagan Tway earned the Scholar Student of the Week award and a $500 scholarship from 91µ¼º½ at Marion.

91µ¼º½ Marion Professor of Psychology, Nikole Patson led a language science session on Wednesday, October 15 with area teens as part of a new partnership with the Marion Family YMCA Teen Rec Center.

Kate Shannon, the 2025 Artist Laureate for 91µ¼º½ will present a curated exhibition of cyanotypes, Grasses in Sun and Shadow, October 21 through November 13, 2025, in the Wayne and Geraldine Kuhn Fine Arts Gallery, Morrill Hall at 91µ¼º½ at Marion, 1465 Mount Vernon Avenue, Marion, OH.  The community and the campus are invited to attend a free opening reception on Tuesday, October 21, 12:30 p.m. in the Kuhn Gallery.

91µ¼º½ Marion senior history major Micah Harris of Upper Sandusky, Ohio is building his resume and skills for his future career while in college working as an archivist for Marion Rotary Club.

President Walter "Ted" Carter's "Education for Citizenship 2035" initiative has inspired hope among some students at 91µ¼º½'s regional campuses. During the Sept. 17 State of the University address, Carter announced a new plan in which regional campus students from families who have an adjusted gross income of $100,000 or lower will get their tuition and fees covered once they transfer to Columbus. It's called the Regional Campus Commitment scholarship, per prior Lantern reporting.
