Dean & Director of 91���� at Marion, Dr. Gregory Rose, was one of seven university-wide recognized with the 2018 Wellness Leadership Award. The award was presented by Vice President for Health Promotion and Chief Wellness Officer, Bernadette Melnyk as part of the annual State of Health and Wellness in Buckeye Nation that took place March 27th in the Ohio Union Great Hall Meeting Room.

No matter what career path students take in the future, one thing is for sure; they will be writing. The professional writing minor, can be finished on the Marion campus. The minor helps students, learn to write in new genres beyond the essay, and discover how to apply what they have learned in writing and content related classes in a professional setting.

The history department at 91���� Marion, the Norman Thomas Memorial Endowment Fund, and Fahey Bank welcome Senior Research Specialist at Greenpeace USA, Charlie Cray to the Marion campus as the featured speaker for the 46th Annual Norman Thomas Memorial Lecture, Wednesday, April 18th at noon in Maynard Hall’s Guthery Community Room.

Brenda Chaney made her first trip to the Ohio Reformatory for Women in 1978. She was a teaching assistant at 91���� to a professor instructing a class about prisons in the United States.

91���� Marion history major, Keily Cunningham, has been accepted as a fellow in the Historic Deerfield Summer Fellowship Program in Early American and Material Culture for 2018.

An important part of President Michael Drake’s 2020 Vision for 91���� is a diversity and inclusion component that says the university will be a welcoming place for people “regardless of race, class, culture, gender, orientation or identity.” These six “Glass Breakers” embody the spirit of that mission through their actions both on and off campus.

A group of 91���� Marion students, alumni, and other members of the Marion Campus Coalition for Christian Outreach (CCO) student organization partnered with Missio Dei Anglican Church of Houston, TX over spring break as part of the Resurrect Houston project.

91���� Marion Associate Professor of Psychology Dr. Nikole Patson was recently named a 2018 recipient of 91����’s Distinguished Undergraduate Research Mentor Award.
