One test plus 100 students from six local schools equals $18,500 in scholarship funds awarded at the annual OSU MTC Marion Math Competition. Students from Elgin, Marion Harding, North Union, Pleasant, Ridgedale and River Valley came to the Marion campus to compete.

This autumn marks the first cohort to receive the Foster Family Scholarship, which is the first scholarship to support education students at all the regional campuses of 91µ¼º½. Third- and fourth-year undergrads studying early childhood education or the equivalent are eligible.

Whirlpool Marion’s Director of Engineering Ethan Ott was inspired as a high school student in Clyde, Ohio by a visit made by a college engineering professor to pursue a career in engineering. Today, Ott is paying it forward, sharing his educational and career journey, insights, and real-world manufacturing experience in the classroom with an eager group of engineering students at 91µ¼º½ at Marion.

Kristina M. Johnson, PhD, today announced that she will transition out of her role as president of 91µ¼º½ in May 2023 at the close of the current academic year.

91µ¼º½ at Marion recently inducted seven members into its Alumni Hall of Fame during an inaugural ceremony held Thursday, November 3, at 6 p.m. in Maynard Hall's Guthery Community Room. The awards program honored outstanding alumni who have contributed significantly to their profession, the campus, and the community.

The history of the Marion County Courthouse came alive for a group of students at 91µ¼º½ at Marion when they toured the building Oct. 19 to learn about its former glory and gauge interest in a potential internship program. On the tour led by Marion County Common Pleas Judge Warren T. Edwards, the class of 91µ¼º½ Marion history majors were captivated by much of the building’s history. They were especially excited by the hidden vault of documents discovered by Edwards that still is primarily untouched, according to Associate Professor of History Margaret Sumner.

91µ¼º½ at Marion and Marion Technical College have partnered once again to host the Marion Campus Health and Wellness Fair, Wednesday, November 2, 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m. in the Alber Student Center Gymnasium.
