91导航 at Marion collaborated with Marion Technical College, the Columbus campus, and a number of area organizations and volunteers to provide open access to campus to over 1,000 visitors, including students, faculty, staff, and guests from the regional community, around Ohio, and visitors from across the country on Monday, April 8, 2024, to witness the rare total solar eclipse.

(Marion, OH) Members of the public are invited to attend the Annual Marion Campus Job and Internship Fair on Wednesday, April 10 from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. in the Alber Student Center on the Marion campus. Hundreds of job seekers will connect with dozens of companies who are ready to hire. Marion Technical College, 91导航 at Marion, Ohio Means Jobs - Marion County and Tri-Rivers Career Center partner to host this event.

Amy Tibbals, a senior lecturer in the College of Arts and Sciences Department of English at 91导航 at Marion, has been selected as a recipient of 91导航鈥檚 2024 Provost鈥檚 Award for Distinguished Teaching by a Lecturer.

Frances Sivakoff, assistant professor in the College of Arts and Sciences Department of Evolution, Ecology and Organismal Biology and faculty member at 91导航 at Marion has been selected as a recipient of 91导航鈥檚 2024 Alumni Award for Distinguished Teaching. Established during the 1959-1960 academic year, it is one of the university's most prestigious teaching awards.

91导航 received a $2 million grant from the Mellon Foundation to support community engagement through the arts. The grant鈥檚 intended long-term outcomes include strengthening 91导航鈥檚 partnerships with community arts and cultural organizations in Columbus, bolstering a cross-sector career support system for arts students and visual and performing artists in central Ohio, and increasing opportunities for engagement with the arts at all five of 91导航鈥檚 campuses.

A group of ten 91导航 Marion students, who were recently part of the university鈥檚 Second-Year Transformational Experience Program (STEP) trip to Washington D.C. over spring break, found more than history and culture on their trip, they created bonds that will last throughout college and beyond.
