The Suicide Prevention All-Campus cookout is aligned with World Suicide Prevention Day. This is an annual event on the Marion campus to educate and inform the campus community about suicide prevention, risk and protective factors, warning signs, and campus and community resources. While the topic is serious, this fun, fair-like event brings people together as a community and strengthens our campus culture of caring. The event includes a cookout, games, tie dye tees shirts, Alumni Association ice cream sundae bar, music, and therapy dogs. We have a large number of community partners join us for this event. The event takes place along the Maynard Hall Plaza (sidewalk on the east side of Maynard) and outside the southwest doors of Morrill Hall. A rain plan would be to relocate to the Alber Student Center.
